About Me
Nice to meet you all! Here’s some of the infomation about me so you can get to know me better :)
Hello guys, I’m Luminous Neko, a.k.a. Grace, a Vietnamese digital artist, currently I’m stuyding Character Illustration and digital painting in general. I’m living in the U.S for almost 4 years now and that was one of the best experience in my life. The name “Luminous Neko” was inspired by my Vietnamese last name and first name “Le Nhi”, basically from the abbreviation of it, and “Neko” means cat, which my most favorite pet ever.
I’m pretty new to the art community so I don’t have much artwork to put out there, and that was one of the main reasons I start opening my art commission service. By taking commission orders, I will have a chance to explore things about different cultures and people, as well as discover and improve my artstyles. I also want to educate myself better by learning the foundation and level it up from time to time, so that my drawing skill will eventually get better as far as I go. This is also a great oppoturnity for me to building up my portfolio to pursue my dream as being a professional illustrator.
My artstyles range are stylized anime, semi-realistic and chibi style. I’m learning many things in order to manage myself to draw anything, from portraits, character design, environment, props, and even story-telling.
Last but not least, thank you so much for reading this. As supporting my art commission service, you’re also helping me to develop my drawing skill, creating more art content and starting my small business, and it’s such a pleasure for me to work with you, my lovely future clients! Have a nice day and enjoy your tour~

Frequently Asked Questions
This section is for providing you further information about my service. If there is still something you cannot find or you want to ask me anything about the work, please contact me. I will update more if I get more questions about my work.
“What software and device did you use to draw commissions?”
Currently I’m using iPad Pro 12.9 inch (3rd generation) and Apple Pencil 2nd generation. I draw my artworks mostly on Procreate.
In the future, once I have a good PC or wacom, I will learn to draw with Adobe Photoshop as well.
“What is the resolution of the artwork you usually use?”
I often use 2000px+ with 300dpi+.
The dimension are usually around 2000x2000, or 4000x4000 (for 1:1 ratio) or higher like 8000x6000.
The dpi will be 400+ if it’s for printing purpose.
“Can you explain about the discount in a quarterly period for old clients?”
It’s a small offer that shows my appreciation to people who were supporting my art commission service in a long run by coming back and ordering again.
So basically, there are four quarter within a year, one quarter = 3 months. My discount offer will be applied once per quarter to any client that have ordered 3 times during one specific quarterly period. It means from the 4th order until the end of the quarter, there will be a discount for your commission.
The discount will be 5% up to 10% off.
“I have sent you an email but I didn’t see any reply, what should I do?”
If that happens, it maybe because of:
1. I didn’t accept your order for some reasons -> I will send you a message to inform you about it as soon as I can.
2. You are still have some of the commission info missing, so I can’t figure out what I should do for your order -> I will send you a message to remind and ask you for more info, then a confirmation can be made after.
3. You have sent to the wrong email, or haven’t really sent it maybe!? -> double checking after sending it will be the best solution :D
For any circumstances, please be patient, I will reach out to you as soon as possible :)
“I didn’t see much of your artwork on your portfolio, why is it?”
To be honest, I’m pretty new to the art community and the time that I’m really focusing on digital painting and art in general is about one year ago. I didn’t draw much back then, but now I’m practicing to draw more often, and studying more.
By opening art commission, it helps me a lot. It brings me experience to many different fields. It’s very fun to draw too. And in the future as I start working on the commission artworks, I will upload it more on my website and other platforms.
“What is the difference between personal, private and commercial commissions?”
Personal commission means you will have the general rights to the artwork (according to Copyright & Usage, Terms of Service) and I, the artist, can use it anywhere, such as uploading online, using it for my portfolio, or using it as samples for my art commission, etc.
Private commission is similar to personal commission, you will also have the general rights to the artwork, but I won’t use it or upload the final artworks online. I can still upload the WIPs (with client’s permission).
Commercial commission means you will have the rights to make money out of the commissioned artwork, generally. In this case I will discuss with you on whether I can use it or upload it or not.
“Why are the signature and the watermark on most of your sample artworks are different?”
I usually change my watermark since I wasn’t satisfied with it. However I will try to have one watermark only with my logo for my future artworks as well as the commission artworks. Don’t worry, the sample artworks are all mine :D
“I don’t see any specific amount of commission slots, how do I know that you’re still open for commission?”
I’m trying to open my art commission most of the time, as long as I can handle the workload.
There is also a commission status on homepage, I will update it to let you know that I’m able to take your order or not, so if you see “Open”, you’re good to go.
